they will be powered within the subs recommend power range but they will not be fully powered, they can handle more RMS wattage

need more specs on the amp, but it looks like it would be okay, the amp is in the upper half of the woofers power range

  3. PimpMyRide says:

The actual RMS power rating of the Area 820 2-channel is 230 watts X 2 @ 2ohms. It’s 460 watts X 1 @ 4ohms when the channels are bridged. The amp will power the subs, but don’t expect pavement shaking thump. The subs voice coils should be wired in series (8ohm load) and then the subs wired parallel (both +’s and both -’s) to the amp bridged terminals (4ohm load).

i think your amp is Area51 series PS2-820 2chnl they are
    180W RMS x 2 @ 4ohms, 2 X 230W RMS 2Ohms
    Briged Power 1 X 460 RMS 4 Ohm Mono
and your sub is 600w RMS

so feeding 460w power to 600w sub is ok
your sub is underpowered by 140w
but still they will sound good IMO
    or
buy a sub having 12" DVC 4ohm 500w RMS it’ll sound louder than the above sub
    or
buy two 12" subs DVC between (250w to 300w) RMS each @ 2ohms
and wire them on this way (Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel ) and you’ll get 2ohm load impedance on your amp
and this subs will sounds the loudest than the above two
