Even though one is a hardtail and one is dual suspension, which bike is better in all catagories?
The price should tell you everything, but if you look at components, the diamondback is superior in every way. Dual suspension costs money to make, so everything else has to be cheaper to cut costs, so if you look at the final price it is impossible that a dual suspension bike could even be the same price, let alone less expensive than a hardtail and be anywhere near the same quality. GMC is not a bicycle company, it is a brand being put on a cheap generic bike to help it sell. At least the Diamondback brand name has a background in cycling
Let’s see…Diamondback has a Shimano TX50 Front Derailleur, a Shimano Acera Rear Derailleur, a Shimano HG30 8spd Cassette (11-32t) – not a cheap 7 speed freewheel, Weinmann MX260D Doublewall Rims, etc., etc., etc.
GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike is a no name bike made by God knows who.

Go to Performance bike and get the Diamondback for less. Stay away from full suspension bikes under $1,000. The GMC bikes are junk and made by Kent.
