I’m looking to pay around 0-0 used for a good mountain bike for my husband. He’s 6’1. What mountain bike would you recommend? And what size frame? I’d like disc brakes and as lightweight as possible for that price.

I have a modest budget for a new mountain bike (around £500) and would like to know what to look out for? ie what can I get for my money? What factors are worth considering?
I am looking for a mountain bike that is great for streed and mountains, like jumps and all that.
I want to buy a mountain bike as I will be going on some semi-rough trails in the mountains. Any pointers on what characteristics it should have or any other bits of advice?
A road bike is more fun and fast on the street, but you do get a better workout with a mountain bike.
Agree?
A road bike can feel like a leisure stroll while on a mountain, you use more muscle.

I am 5’9 and 120 pounds and I am 15 and I want a new mountain bike what would be a good mountain bike for me?
Links would be great
Thanks!

On a mountain bike on the street, there is more of a feeling of control and stability and it seems better going up hills.
However, there is more of a thrill with a road bike because it’s faster and smoother.
Overall, I don’t think there is that much of a difference. The guy at the bike shop said a mountain bike can be ridden anywhere not just on trails.
In the long run, does anyone feel there is a difference between the two?
I am about to go buy a diamonback mountain bike. Is it ready to ride right from the store? (sports authority)
Thanks. Yes I know what WD-40 is.
I am 6’5 265lbs but not fat, i am very active and love sports but i have gained about 20lbs these last couple years and i tried to ride my friends mountain bike and it felt like i was going to rip the tires off the frames when i turned. Are there special bike tires/frames for large people that are reasonably priced? I would just be riding like once a week with my friend.
