I have a Huffy Mountain Bike & it doesn’t have brakes & gears. I have looked every where on the net & nobody has the parts that I need for my bike. Wal-mart & Kmart doesn’t sell parts like that. Can anybody me help me out?

I just bought a second hand mountain bike, and the front brakes make a squealing sound when I use them. I wanted to find a manual on how to repair, but hayes has several different models listed, and I don’t know which one to look at.

its a used specialized fsr xc mountain bike worth 0..its fair condition,just scratches,lil rust on chain,might need a good tune up,regular brakes no disc,but other than that it looks good…i think its like a 05-07 model.

Realise its not much for a bike but its all I have, was wondering what make should be looking for, bearing in mind live in Scotland not USA
Want a decent dual suspension has to have front forks and shock absorber, v type brakes both front and back no disk brake there to much hard work, and cant get hydralics for that price
So far have had budget bikes, trax, apollo, reebox even but they are just no up to woodland, dirt paths and had two knicked want something that is going to last a while
Barracuda, or maybe GT, diamonback claud butler but realise not going to get alot for 250.
6ft 2 Male = what size frame should be looking at and wheels
Also prefer handlebars not to have a wedge stem as they snap, not fussed quick realease bits or fancy parts as long as it has 18 gears

Trying to find out more information about a bike. I’m totally new to this, so I apologize in advance. A friend is offering to give me a bike to get started, but I don’t know how it compares to the one I have. Here’s all I know about it:
The frame is silver, aluminum. On the top bar, the sticker’s peeling but it says something about aluminum. The bottom, angled bar says fs elite on it. It’s a 21-speed dual index. Shimano brakes. Yellow duo track 7007 front suspension fork. I also wrote down that it has the phrase "aac 900" written on it, but I forget where.

I could take that bike or keep one that I already have. It’s a giant rincon se aluxx6061. Bought back in like 2002 I think.

Do you know anything about the first one described? How does it compare to the second. Thoughts? ANY advice/opinions/etc. would be appreciated because I’m over my head here. Thanks so much!

Hi i bought a 2nd hand mountain bike cheap as it has a ‘bump’ on the rear rim, still able to ride it but would like to replace the rear rim as it rubs on the brakes, can i replace just the rim or do i have to change all the gear cog’s etc? Thank’s in Advance

A friend is mine has inherited a 74 Chevy Nova two door from his aunt…we know it’s a automatic but we have’nt popped the hood yet…what is the base engine for that?…what size wheels and tires are on there…is it RWD?…what type of brakes are on there?…Can we put a 4 barrel carberator in that badboy?…Can we stick a 454 or 502 V-8 in there without replacing the hood or taking a blow torch to her?..What type of suspension is she running?..how much does she weigh? how fast can she go? Is this the same chassis that was used for the 78 Monte Carlo? Should we make her a lowrider sitting on 13′s or 14′s? Use hydrualics or Air ride? Has anyone ever seen a 74 Nova lowrider?
Would it be better to just upgrade the suspension and build a muscle car out of her…dual exhaust and the works sitting on 16 Cragar-ish rims and Goodyear rubber?…Please list any info on this model, good and bad..we need to weigh the pros and cons!

Hey I’m looking for information or experience with the Polaris Outlaw 525′s suspension. I need to know how their front and rear knuckles stand up. Has anyone seen them fail? Is there a better set on the market? I only require that the knuckle be designed with a dual A-arm suspension and has to be able to take extreme abuse. I’m relying on your experience or expertise. Also, hows the brakes on these, good, bad, other?? Many thanks!!!
