My collection of bikes (part 1)

My collection of bicycles part one. First up is my black and red “SCOTT” this will be sold when it is finnished. Next is one I obtained today an old UNIVERSAL “sit up and beg” type bicycle, This will be kept as it has a basket and carrier which will make my trips to get groceries much easier. Next is one I obtained a few days ago, I fitted the carrier and lights today, next is my CARRERA which I will keep when it is fixed. Then My white GT, too big for me, will be sold when complete, then my RALEIGH which I got from a skip, just needs a gear shifter to be a fully working bike, next my APOLLO ladies bike, only had a front wheel when me and my friend got this just a few days ago, this is now a complete and working bike, next is my yellow BMX frame, not decided what to do with this yet, then an old Raleigh racer frame I plan to restore. In the shed is what will soon be mine Barracuda Slalom dual suspension bike, I have to earn the darn thing :(

What should I look for in a bike?

Ok, so I need to buy a new bike. I ride about an 40min-60min a day and most of that’s uphill and covered with dirt. I’m looking at mountain bikes. What should I look for in a bike? Do I need dual suspension, Aluminium frame or something? What’s a good, reliable brand? My budget’s 500 Australian Dollars. I’m 12 y/o and 165cm if that helps

Where can I find a place to purchase a shock for a Cannondale mountain bike?

I recently purchased a Cannondale Super V700 mountain bike, and the rear mono shock is busted on it. I was told by the owner that a local bike dealership sells the shocks for 0, but considering I paid that is a little crazy. I’ve had trouble finding any other sites that provide information on shocks for this bike. Any help would be appreciated.

What is an inexpensive yet durable crankest for a downhill mountain bike?

I’ve just recently bought a new trek 4300 with disc brakes and ive been riding the crap out of it. I realized that one of my gears started falling and i looked and one of them was bent so i hammered it straight, but the same problem kept happening so i decided to buy a new crankest. Since i am fairly new to this sport i don’t know what brand and model i should buy please help, thanks in advance. Like i said for a downhill mountain bike and biker.
