The question says it all. I am trying to find a good bike to begin mountain trails and such. It will lots of uphill and downhill and some road use. I would like to keep it under 800 with tax if possible. If you can recommend any brands/models/ or even what type of parts I should expect so I do not get swindled at my shop.

I’m looking to invest in a high end dual suspension all around XC mountain bike. I looked into santa cruz, yeti, and a few others which are real pricy so im just going to invest in a frame and move my components. Any companies and frame names of those companies from experience?

I am 15 and 5"5 I weigh about 130 and i want a good mountain bike. I am a beginner. I would like to spend under 300 dollars.

Looking to service a five-year-old Trek mountain bike. Nothing appears to be wrong with the bike but the break pads are a bit worn and certian gears rattle a little bit. Thanks!

These are my requirements

-no more than 0
-dual suspension
-all metal cranks (no plastic)

These are some other things I would like but are not required…

-trigger shifters over grip shifters
-quick release seat
-tires 2" or greater

I have been looking at the mongoose xr 75, xr 100, xr 200, are any of these good quality?

I have a Giant mountain bike that has a stem that is low. I feel like a stem that is higher would be better when riding downhill. My question is, what is the usual stem degree for mountain biking? I live by the desert and some trails are very steep.
