How do you measure the travel of a mountain bike? for both front shock and rear shock?

I own a 76 cosworth vega and plan on swapping the 122ci 4 cylinder for a 3.8 buick supercharged. The car already has an upgraded suspension and 3" dual exaust from when i had a 350 in it. Im planing on swapping the engines this summer when I paint the car but am unsure of what transmission if any will fit the 3800 series 2 engine and can handle the 320 hp it puts out. I believe the manual 5 speed camaro transmission off an 96 v6 also with the 3800 series 2 will fit, and my car has the 3.73 gears that the transmission is set up for. Can anyone tell me if the 96 3.8L camaro transmission will bolt up to the engine or anything else that will.

At school my Outdoor Ed class are mountain bike riding this term and I find that my face is the only one that turns bright red. Last in PE I could avoid it by slowing down my pace and relaxing, but I can’t with mount bike riding. Also if you have any tips on breathing and positioning while riding.

Halfords on their website have dirt jump bikes and mountain bikes classed separately, if i bought a dual suspension mountain bike, would it still be suitable for doing jumps and similar things?

I’m considering getting a mountain bike for recreation and exercise. However, I recently came upon an auction for a foldable bicycle at an attractive price of 0 plus (original price was 0 plus). I’m wondering whether a folding bike can perform well on rough terrain like gravel paths. If it doesn’t have shift gears and suspension, will riding uphill be difficult?
Also, will it be more difficult to get spare parts for a folding bike?

I won a great looking dual suspension mountain bike from work, but when I brought it home and did some research it said it is for boys 9-16 yrs of age.
