Dual Sport Continental Divide – Canada to Mexico Pt 3
Bikes: Street legalized 2000 and 2001 Honda XR650R dirt bikes with E-Line Dual Sport Kits. One bike was lowered by altering the internals of the suspension, front and rear. Tires were Maxxis 6006 to start and then switched to used knobbies found (free) at motorcycle shops along the way when originals needed replacing (why do they use 17″ rear on the KLR and others?). Main jet is 125 stock changed to 120 for high altitude, still too rich (dark plug), will try 118 next time.
