Hi I weigh 250 pounds and I would like to start riding bikes to get healthy, can you tell me which one of these bike will support me ? If not what bike can I buy
Kranked Legend Dual Suspension Bicycle, 26-in
Supercycle 1800 26-in Mountain Bike, Women’s
CCM Avenue 700C Hybrid Bike, Women
CCM Women’s Prime Freestyle Bicycle, 26-in
Hi I can only afford to spend 220 dollars because I am tight on money
I would like to ride the bike on the bike path everyday.
all the bikes will hold your weight, your not that heavy. the ccm prime Freestyle bike has the best parts of all of them. but all of the bikes are really low end and even for low end bikes they are over priced.
you might want to check cregs list first as i’m not sure what stores are around where you live, Canada i’m guessing. so unless your getting some discount i would not go with one and keep looking.
out of the bike offered by that company in your price range this would be the one i would recommend to you

Go to a bike shop and get a good bike. Stay away from Canadian tire or any full suspension bike. The correct bike will be determined where you want to ride and your inseam and height.
Edit:
For bike paths look for a comfort or hybrid bike with gears. You want the correct size frame for comfort. You should be able to find a good used bike on the local ebay or Craig’s list that will fill your needs. A cheap bike will give you problems and is no fun to ride. What is you height and inseam and I can tell you what size you need.
I am with Bob on this one.
The sort of bike you should be looking at will either be a hardtail or fully rigid. You need to spend about £300 minimum to get any sort of viable machine. Because of your weight I would recommend a Kona, since they tend to size for larger people.
The problem is that you don’t seem to know what you want to do with the bike. Full suspension. Do you want to do trail centres or singltrack? Freestyle? This bike is designed to pull big air out on the trails. You know the photos that show people doing superman poses while flying 50ft up? Actually, I would probably pay to see a 250 lb woman do that. But you get the idea.
Of all three I would probably look at a hybrid. Simple, easy gears, sturdy construction. Nothing fancy, just an honest bike to clock up the miles. Just not that hybrid.
Luck
Avoid suspension in lower priced bikes. It adds weight and increases pedaling effort. Low end bikes often come in a limited range of frame sizes, so if you are very tall or short, you may have trouble getting a good fit. Low price also means low quality and will translate into higher maintenance costs. If you ride a lot, a chep bike could end up costing more money than a better one.
