2008 Dodge Avenger SXT, how much do you think i could talk the dealer down to?

I have been breaking my back for the past two weeks for at least 8 hours a day at the computer trying to find a new car. I finally found one i like with accaptable miles on it. My boyfriend said he heard on the radio that with the way the economy is today sales are going down so people who are in sales are not making as much money so if you go to buy something with cash you can pretty much call the shots. The car i want is a Dodge Avenger SXT.

I probably dont need to list all this but i will anyway.

Chrysler LLC is in a really bad way right now. you could probably talk the dealer down to 12k. there cars are not selling, and will sell for sometimes lower than sticker. my uncle bought a dodge viper SRT-10 in 2003 when they were new for sticker. they wanted 110k for it. he paid 85k. If you stand there and haggle with them enough you can get any price you name…within reason of course.

try to buy new first you should be able to get it at dealer cost plus any rebates when you have that price compare it will the car above price wise

if you offered them around 14-14.5 for it they would probably take it right now, their not hurting for money like some people think but car sales is down everywhere ,so any reasonable offer im sure wouldn’t be denied,gm and ford both are having bad sales,so they wont refuse no reasonable offers these days.good luck.
